Program notes:
Burnt is an exploration of gesture as a generative principle. The flutist’s movement acts directly on the sound, altering its trajectories, its inner balance, its density. Nothing remains stable: what begins as structure unravels, dilates, lets itself be crossed through. Timbre becomes porous matter, fragile, traversed by subtle tensions and sudden fractures. The electronics respond like a living substance: deflecting, obstructing, absorbing, relaunching. Nothing stands still: form and sound emerge together from a constant tension, fed by minute fractures, delicate resistances, traces left in the void.
