Syn (2022)

Program notes:

The title comes from an etymological analysis of the word 'synchronicity', which is derived from the Greek roots 'syn' and 'khronos', where syn means 'with' and khronos means 'now'.
The term 'synchronicity' is therefore intended to represent the idea of the coming together in time of agglomerations of sound, through a principle of simultaneity that consists of a link between events that are related but not causally so, i.e. without one influencing the other.
These agglomerations are represented in a temporal system by processes of linearity and discontinuity, in which linear and continuous events are perturbed and disrupted by sudden breaks that interrupt the continuum of the sound flow. In the compositional action, processes of expansion and compression of the sound material are used, which through the temporal dimension manifests its own nature, until arriving at a sonic bubble in which there is the conquest of synchronicity, where linearity and fracture coexist, revealing an almost ritual dimension.​
